"Shri Tilak Raj Dhawan Educational & Charitable Trust", promotes a new model of technical schooling. It has been understood that the technically competent as well as other highly skilled vocationally qualified people are vital to our economy. In the 21st century we will need to train more people right up to degree standard. This will be initiated with the high level of practical and technical education of the type which preeminent Technical Colleges provide. We have commitment from our faculties and employers who are working coactions in different locations across the country and increase our capacity to inspire and train the next generation of engineers, technicians, craftsmen and industrial innovators.

We shall be the preferred technical college by imparting education with high quality standards par excellence with continuous improvement while providing an excellent infrastructure in a serene and conducive atmosphere that would motivate the students in pursuit of Global Job oriented knowledge.

DEC serves as a catalyst for personal, community and economic development by empowering individuals through education and training. Through excellence in teaching and partnerships, the College responds to the technical and public service needs of the country. The College has an open admissions policy for qualified students and annually enrolls 300 to 400 credit students. DEC provides opportunities for individuals with diverse backgrounds and ability levels to acquire or upgrade the knowledge and skills necessary in diverse engineering technologies like Industrial, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Civil etc.. In addition to teaching technical skills, the College seeks to provide graduates competency in written and oral communications, computer skills, mathematics, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Further, DEC encourages the students to prepare for various Post Graduate and Research related Courses.
